Some leadership positions may be combined with aspects of other leadership positions and not all positions may be full. Please note that the expectation for our Leadership Team and Senior Staff/Cabin Leaders is that they would be present all summer and Junior Staff will be granted a week of vacation upon request. Fund Development Coordinator
Wage: $20/hour for 15 hours per week.
Duties
● Execute annual fundraising plans and strategies to meet financial goals
● Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, sponsors, and grant-making bodies
● Calls and meetings with donors on a weekly basis
● Update and manage the CRM
● Write and distribute a monthly newsletter for donors
● Coordinate and lead fundraising events and campaigns with the Executive Director
● Identify new funding opportunities and apply for grants aligned with the camp mission
● Manage donor recognition activities
● Prepare and present progress reports to the Camp Seggie board and leadership team
● Collaborate on marketing plans to promote fundraising initiatives
● Develop and manage the annual fundraising budget

Accountable to: Executive Director
- Work closely with the Executive Director to ensure all Staff have the necessary support to look after their campers
- Meet one on one with Senior Cabin Leaders/Staff on a regular basis to provide feedback, encouragement, prayer and support for how to do their role. Get staff break schedule from program to schedule these in and post schedule for staff.
- Attend daily leadership and staff meetings and clearly communicate various plans or address any issues
- Work alongside Executive Director and Admin to organize and execute Share-A-Wage
- Manage the staff clothing order, including, preparing the order, arranging purchases and distribution.
- On registration days, greet and direct parents (with Master Cabin List), as well as being available to cabin leaders for questions, concerns and general support and encouragement.
- Have weekly check in meetings with other leadership to see how cabin leaders/staff are doing and if there are any issues that they or other leadership need to address.
- Responsible for Staff Appreciation; eg. organize and lead fun staff activities to be done in the evenings and/or on breaks.
- Facilitate Staffle (prizes from staff appreciation fund)
- Organize along with help of other Leadership members to host a staff banquet and awards ceremony on the last night of camp
- Distribute and collect Staff Weekly Commentaries, and work alongside the Executive Director to appropriately address and resolve items arising from staff commentaries.
- Work alongside the Executive Director to complete two formal evaluations of all staff (midsummer and end of summer). Communicate with staff after evaluations and what areas were noted.
- Submit a list to the Board at the end of the summer with their recommendation for each staff member for the following year hiring (ie. keep in current role, not hire, promote to X)
- Handle any concerns over the performance of Cabin Leaders (more serious things go to the Executive Director) and address it accordingly.

Administrative Coordinator
Minimum Age: 18.
Wage: Starting at $600/week.
Description: This person is the voice for the camp, in the sense that they are the first person most parents talk to. They are responsible to maintain an orderly office, register campers, issue communications, answer correspondence, organize special projects, ensure proper paperwork for staff and campers are completed and filed. (First Aid required)
General Leadership Responsibilities:

- Show an example of personal and spiritual mentorship to the rest of the staff.
- Expected to be ready, willing, and able to participate in any other aspects of camp life as asked by other Leadership members or the Executive Director.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and daily leadership meetings and clearly communicate various plans or address any issues.
- Help with campers and staff as needed.
- Take turns doing night watch. Be available during the night for issues arising with campers.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls, emails, faxes, letters and website correspondence in a timely manner.
- Before the summer begins, communicate with staff to get time off information, and various forms are filled out – Criminal Record Checks, Off Property Agreement, Medical, etc.
- See to it that all registrations of campers are complete and properly recorded.
- Receive, record and track all payments and refunds relating to registrations.
- Cabinize all campers into appropriate cabins each week of the summer.
- Send confirmation emails and various communication to parents as appropriate.
- Take the lead during Registration Days, ensuring that all campers are properly checked-in.
- Ensure float is available on Sundays for T-Shirt and registration table, to accept payments.
- Call campers who are no show on registration days.
- During weekly staff meeting, give weekly updates and reminders, distribute binders and parent letters.
- Prep and print all necessary registration forms and camper information forms for the Cabin Leaders, and have binders available on Sunday before registration begins. Highlight relevant information including remaining balances, major electives, etc.
- On registration days, print preorder T-Shirt list, multiple master cabin lists, and provide them to appropriate team members.
- Prep and print all 48-hour call sheets, call log sheets, camper sign-out sheets, camper PRN medication sheet, etc.
- Balance weekly deposits and provide calculated allocations of registration, camp store, donations, etc.
- Oversee special projects as they arise (organizing Christmas Letters, Thank You Letters, Mass Mail Outs, Sharewage letters, etc.)
- Print and provide allergy lists to the kitchen each week for the upcoming week.
- Ensure all notifications and mail outs are issued (receipts, confirmations, refunds, thank-you letters, etc.
- Review and respond to each financial assistance scholarship application, and award scholarships as appropriate. Communicate monthly with the Board to give updated information on the number of scholarships given to date.
- Responsible for the signing in and signing out of day campers each day.
- Work alongside Staff Coordinators and other appropriate Leadership members to finalize cabin lists for each week.
- On Fridays, ensure all campers are signed out appropriately and collect sign out sheets.
- Take weekly cabin photos and organize printing of photos for Christmas Letters
- Mentor and train various Junior Staff as they do assigned work on appropriate administrative tasks.
- Work with Program to provide lists of major elective participants, and create camper/staff teams (and weekly break/night off schedule)
- Work alongside Manager and Staff Coordinator to ensure the preparation, organization and execution of the Share-a-Wage program.
- Purchase office supplies as needed. (eg. Printer toner for main printer)
- Accept and track payments twice a summer (midsummer and end of summer) of staff owing tuck money.
- Each week, provide Aquatics master list of day campers to ensure opportunity on Wibit.
- Each week, provide First Aid Attendant Medication administration sheets for each day of the week.

Camp Life Coordinator
Minimum Age: 18.
Wage: Starting at $600/week.
Description: This position plays a vital role in supporting, encouraging, and uplifting our team of staff. This position involves providing guidance through regular check-ins with staff, resolving conflicts with compassion and fostering a positive community atmosphere. Additionally, you will play a key role in offering constructive feedback and guidance to staff members, facilitating their professional and personal development. (First Aid required)

Camper Care Coordinator
Minimum Age: 18.
Wage: Starting at $600/week.
Description: This person is responsible for setting the tone for camper care. This position has two main components: One, reviewing registrations and communicating with parents before, during and after camp if required to provide optimal care for campers.Two, to provide support and encouragement to counselors in the area of camper care. First Aid Required.

- Expected to be ready, willing, and able to participate in any other aspect of camp life as asked by other Leadership members or the Executive Director.

Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Review all camper registrations closely before campers are assigned a cabin
- Call parents/guardian to collect further information on campers if needed based on registration. For example, if the camper has a EA at school will they need one-on-one at camp
- Determine if a camper needs a one-on-one and come to a decision with the Camp Life Coordinator if this is possible.
- Communicate with camper parent/guarding if camp will be able to
- Gather tips and tricks for campers needing accommodations.
- Create booklets for counselors containing tips and tricks for campers requiring special accommodations and meet with counselors to give them the information, brief them on their campers and answer any questions they have.
- Work closely with the Camp Life Coordinator to put all campers into appropriate cabins each week of the summer.
- Assist with all problems that arise from campers which include but are not limited to homesickness, illness, and consistent disobedience.
- Support counselors in all areas regarding camper care
- Help counselors make phone calls to parents/guardians
- During registration sit with the nurse to gather additional information from parents on medications if required.
- Stay up an hour past lights out to help with homesickness

Program Coordinator
Minimum Age: 18.
Wage: Starting at $600/week.
Description: This person is responsible for helping to create the heartbeat of Camp. This position has two main components: One, to create a positive experience that campers will never forget through themes that capture their imagination. Two, to implement the daily schedule of camp.
General Leadership Responsibilities:

- Keep campers safe, ensure they have a great time and are encouraged in their faith in God.
- Expected to be ready, willing, and able to participate in any other aspect of Camp Life as asked by other Leadership members or Executive Director.

- Help with campers and staff as needed.

Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Create, plan and execute exciting, weekly themed program schedules that are age appropriate and that the staff and campers will find engaging.
- Keep schedule on time and provide ample transition time between activities
- Plan and lead camp-wide activities such as group games and challenges, including CYOA (choose your own adventure activities).
- Communicate activity instructions in clear, creative ways.
- Run campfire
- Keep the staff motivated and excited in regard to the program.
- Keep an organized and clean office and other program storage areas.
- Work with the Aquatics Coordinator when scheduling waterfront activities including pool, WIBIT, or beach times.
- Registration – lead games in the back field as kids arrive
- Attend senior staff meetings to give clear feedback and communicate expectations; make oneself available to the Cabin Leaders or other staff for feedback, questions and new ideas.

Discipleship Coordinator
Minimum Age: 18.
Wage: Starting at $600/week.
Description: Ensure campers hear the gospel message.
General Leadership Responsibilities:

- Expected to be ready, willing, and able to participate in any other aspect of Camp Life as asked by other Leadership members, Executive Director or cabin leaders.

- Help with campers and staff as needed.
- Take turns doing night watch. Be available during the night for issues arising with campers.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute age appropriate morning and/or evening chapels each day.
- Plan, communicate and organize with weekly speakers for evening or morning chapels.
- Coordinate material with program themes
- Create and distribute age appropriate devotionals to cabin leaders for quiet times or before bed.
- Organize distribution of bibles to all campers who want a bible.
- Be available to answer bible or spiritual questions and pray for campers and or staff throughout the day.
- Organize, schedule, and communicate with staff to create teams for live worship during chapel time.
- Acquire necessary sound equipment needed for chapel and live worship. Run any technology as needed at camp.
- Plan weekly cabin challenges relating to chapel content (eg. Bible verse memorization)
- Create rack cards of age appropriate, scripture and chapel content and have them printed for Christmas Letters.
- Camper follow up and connection – past: promo mission work, create an app,
- Registration Day – sell t-shirts.
- Plan worships nights, lead music/message or have someone come in to do it.
- Assist with Program as needed (help set up games, help with theme, etc)
- Assist with Facilities as needed
- Be a visible presence around the camp – interact with campers and be available for them to ask questions
LIT Coordinator
Minimum Age: 18
Wage: Starting at $600/week
Position Specifics: LIT Coordinator (Part- Time) / Program Coordinator (Part-time)
General Leadership Responsibilities:

- Help with campers and staff as needed.
- Help with junior cabin leader party planning and chaperoning.
- Take turns doing night watch. Be available during the night for issues arising with campers.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Planning and execution of the L.I.T Program training weekend/days with the help of the facilities coordinator and support of the Manager as needed.
- Review LIT application for approval, schedule LIT after the outtrip
- Coordinate with other leadership and schedule to involve them in each aspect of camp: program, chapel, kitchen, cabins, aquatics, property and facilities
- During registration – meet/ orient LITs to week, facilitate their responsibilities (park/tshirts/water/runner)
- Facilitate daily devotions for LITs
- Facilitate a daily leadership teaching session for LIT. This may include involving youth leaders or special speakers to lead these sessions
- Demonstrate support and encouragement (spiritual, physical, emotional) with weekly LIT and be available as needed for prayer and support. Mentor LIT by working alongside of them, teaching sessions, seek informal supportive conversation opportunities about themselves and faith
- Responsible to discipline LITs, taking larger issues to the Manager.
- Clean and work alongside the LITs: facilitating their involvement in program, chapel, kitchen, cabins, aquatics, property and facilities.
- Plan a simple fun time each day for LITs and make sure they get reasonable breaks (ex. Pool time while waiting to do night clean of bathroom)
- Evaluation of LITs: have a list of all LIT from the summer with a recommendation for hiring come next year for the Board.
- Plan and execute the End of Summer LIT ceremony with facilities coordinators help
Camp Cook
Minimum Age: 18.
Wage: Starting at $600/week.
Position(s) Breakdown:
- Position 1: Menu & Ordering (10 hr/week)
- Position 2: Head Onsite Cook
- Position 3: Assistant Cook/Dietary Restrictions
- Volunteer Cook: Junior Kitchen Assistant
Description: The role of the camp cook(s) is to plan, prepare and cook age-appropriate meals; order supplies; order food and ensure kitchen equipment is in good working condition. They are responsible to work with other kitchen staff in providing three healthy meals and one snack a day to the Campers and Staff.

Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Maintain the meal budget set out at the beginning of the summer. (mostly Position 1)
- Order sufficient food and supplies (Position 1) . Position 2 & 3 keep Position 1 updated as to needs.
- Develop weekly menus. (Position 1)
- Attend weekly and daily kitchen staff meetings with the Manager and clearly communicate any issues relating to your position. (Position 2 & 3)
- Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment as set out by the Department of Health. (Position 2&3)
- Train staff and ensure proper food preparation standards are followed by everyone in the kitchen.(Position 2&3)
- Preparing 3 meals and a snack most days. Gauge appropriate portions (Position 2&3)
- Supervise meal serving; ensure portions are appropriate and that meals are served quickly and efficiently. (Position 2&3)
- Ensure leftover food is put in staff fridge for a few days and then discarded or frozen. (Position 2&3)
- Discuss special food allergies/concerns with camper parents and staff to make accommodations when it is reasonable. (Position 2&3)
- Prepare special staff meals like the mid-summer and year-end staff feasts. (Position 2&3)
- Make available special food for staff members on occasion such as BBQ meat, special desserts, etc.

Facilities Coordinator
Minimum Age: 18.
Wage: Starting at $600/week.
Description: Responsible for overseeing the efficiency and cleanliness of the main buildings as you provide leadership for the efforts of a facilities team (multiple staff and LITs will be assigned to help with the given duties); schedule and train teams; oversee meal serving, cleaning, dish pit, bathroom; safely manage the inventory of necessary chemical products. Also responsible for running the Tuck shop (camp store).
General Leadership Responsibilities:

Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Help LIT Coordinator with planning and execution of the L.I.T Program training weekend. Facilitate the facilities training of the LIT training event portions.
- Train staff in how to clean properly and how best to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Registration Day- With LIT Coordinator, meet with staff/LIT & delegate various jobs for registration. (Eg. help with parking; offering water to staff/ campers/ parents; 1-2 people helping with selling and setting up T-Shirts, etc)
- Manage and support weekly facilities staff and LITs cleaning.
- Create schedules for cleaning and maintaining camp buildings. Creates/coordinates list with property person.
- Ensure proper food preparation standards are followed by everyone in the kitchen and ensure a team is set up for meal serving; ensure a team is trained and prepared to serve quickly and efficiently. (cook will supervise)
- Ensure that all buildings are clean and in good repair, and items such as lost and found articles are gathered and stored, litter cleaned up and properly disposed of.
- Ensure the Tuck shop is stocked, and that sufficient staff are scheduled and trained to run it during Tuck times; give supervision and feedback so that it runs as quickly and smoothly as possible.
- Help LIT coordinator with the End of Summer LIT ceremony.
- Work with Property Coordinator and assign facilities staff/LIT to help with work projects as needed/requested.
- Be hands-on in working alongside assigned Facility Staff/LITs with daily tasks.

Property Coordinator
Minimum Age: 18.
Wage: Starting at $600/week
Description: Responsible for overseeing the camp property including lawn care, painting, sanitation, and small repairs. Generally, 1-2 staff will be assigned to help with the given responsibilities, so organizing and training teams is very important. Responsible for keeping the property shed organized and stocked and will be asked to do various property and construction projects.

Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the property and buildings are in good repair and appearance.
- Perform painting and small repairs of camp equipment and buildings.
- Arrange to have lawn cutting and whipper snipping done either by yourself or in communication with our lawn care subcontractor, as directed. Plan appropriate times to have the yard work done that doesn’t interfere with programming.
- Make and complete repair lists based on staff input.
- Order necessary building materials under the supervision of the Executive Director.
- Inform Executive Director of the need to line up subcontractors to complete more complicated projects if needed.
- Follow the camp budget and prioritize based on time, resources and importance.
Accountable to: Executive Director
Aquatics Coordinator/ First Aid
Minimum Age: 17.
Wage: Starting at $600/week
Description: This person is responsible for overseeing the summer aquatic program. This requires lifeguarding during pool & beach activities. Up-keep for the swimming pool, WIBIT and water slide is also a key part of this role. Must have current NLS certification.
General Leadership Responsibilities:

- Help with campers as needed.
- Expected to be ready, willing, and able to participate in any other aspect of Camp Life as asked by other Leadership members or Executive Director.

- Take turns doing night watch. Be available during the night for issues arising with campers.
Pool/Lifeguard Specific Responsibilities:
- Lifeguard pool and waterfront, at scheduled times.
- Schedule and direct other aquatic staff, or assistant lifeguards.
- Ensure all campers will have a scheduled time to use the WIBIT throughout the week (in cooperation with the Program Coordinator).
- Maintain the swimming pool, WIBIT and water slide. This includes chemical balancing, ordering supplies, pool cleaning and basic repairs.
- Ensure all aquatics equipment is properly stored throughout the summer and properly stored at the end of summer for the offseason.
- Helped with JR party and LIT pool times as needed to lifeguard
First Aid/Media/Other Responsibilities:
- Assist with First Aid
- Receive medications at registration and facilitate daily medication disbursement of Campers and Staff. Ensure Staff have access to their personal medications.
- Take Photos/Video weekly and Make a short announcement/update slideshow each week the Manager to post to social media and send to the churches. This will increase the communication with churches, increase people’s interest, feeling of connection to camp, and therefore increase support of camp.

Senior Staff/Cabin Leader
Minimum age: 16.
Wage: Starting at $600/week
Term of Service: First day of Training Week, ending the last day of camp.
Description: As Senior Staff/Cabin Leader you can expect to spend most of your summer in a cabin. Your main responsibility will be caring for the campers in your cabin. Please expect to be on Staff (Facilities), at least once throughout the summer.
Responsibilities in the Cabin:
- Maintain a daily personal time with God.
- Keep campers safe, ensure they have a great time and are encouraged towards a deeper faith in God.
- Provide spiritual nurturing and encouragement; leading Bible studies and praying with and for campers in your cabin.
- Provide leadership, supervision and care to the campers each week; encourage general childcare basics – maintaining good hygiene, nourishment, proper rest, first aid, etc.
- Provide mentoring and leadership to Junior Cabin Leaders.
- Develop excellence in your instruction of assigned elective(s).
- Participating in camp games and activities with the goal of encouraging campers to have as much fun as possible.
- Assisting members of the Leadership Team when requested.
Responsibilities on Staff:
- Be a facilities team leader.
- Be supportive and encouraging to Junior Staff, LITs, and the Facilities Coordinator while on staff while helping with daily tasks.

Junior Staff
Minimum age: 14 as of May of the year of application.
Wage:
- Camp Contribution: $0 (volunteer position)
- Fundraising Goal: $750 (share-wage program)
Term of Service: First day of Training Week, ending the last day of camp. These positions will be full time throughout the summer.
Description: As a Junior Staff Member you can expect to spend your summer both in a cabin and on staff (facilities).
Responsibilities In the Cabin:
- Maintain a daily personal time with God.
- Keep campers safe, ensure they have a great time and are encouraged towards a deeper faith in God.
- Assist in providing spiritual nurturing and encouragement; assist in leading Bible studies and praying with and for campers in your cabin.
- Assist in providing leadership, supervision, and care to campers each week; encourage general childcare basics – maintaining good hygiene, nourishment, proper rest, first aid, etc.
- Provide safe continued instruction and encouragement to campers at your assigned elective(s).
- Participating in camp games and activities with the goal of encouraging campers to have as much fun as possible.
- Assisting members of the Leadership Team when requested.
Responsibilities on Staff:
- Be on a facility team.
- Be supportive and encouraging to Junior Staff, LITs, and the Facilities Coordinator while on staff while helping with daily tasks.
Accountable to: Executive Director and assigned Senior Cabin Leader
